Show Notes

This week I have the pleasure of bringing Bryan Moody onto the podcast. Bryan is a former Olympic Badminton player, representing Canada at the 2000 Summer Games in Sydney and the Commonwealth games in 1998. He is now a coach with the Glencoe Club here in Calgary.

We had a great conversation about athlete development.  Whether it is learning how to succeed being on your own at an early age, learning the mental skills necessary to succeed in international competition or building good daily habits to set yourself up for success, if you are an athlete trying to make a name for yourself this is a great interview for you.

One really important message through this interview with Bryan was that the best way to learn is experience.  You can read about competition, ways to prepare, what your favourite athletes do.... but the only way to figure out what works for you is to do it.  Take the tools and experiences of others to give yourself ideas, but do not try to become a different athlete.  Experiment, learn and develop the habits and routines that work for YOU.
